What Stock Doc collects
If you join the email list, we collect your email address, the date and time of your consent, and the page where you signed up. Signed-in features may store your account identifier, membership status, saved portfolio, and trading-journal entries. StockDoc also collects anonymous website activity such as pages viewed, feature interactions, referral source, campaign label, and general device type. We do not ask for brokerage passwords, Social Security numbers, bank details or payment information through the free checkup.
Anonymous analytics
StockDoc assigns random anonymous visitor and session identifiers to measure traffic and improve the product. Analytics do not store your raw IP address, full browsing history, or the technical values entered into a checkup. Referral information is reduced to the referring website’s hostname.
How the information is used
We use signup information to send occasional Stock Doc product news and educational market content, and anonymous analytics to understand site performance and conversion. We do not sell or rent email addresses or analytics data.
Stock Checkup data
The free checkup processes the ticker and technical values you enter to display an analysis. Those checkup inputs are not saved to your subscriber record.
Trading Journal data
Founding Members can choose to save trade details, strategies, notes, lessons, and Overtrading Guard limits. Journal information is associated with the signed-in StockDoc account so it remains available across devices. Members can delete individual entries from the journal.
Agent conversations
Your latest 20 messages with the StockDoc Agent are saved with your signed-in account so you can continue across devices. Older messages fall outside this conversation history. When you send a message, recent conversation history and available saved portfolio, journal and decision context are sent to OpenAI to prepare a reply. Enabled coaching preferences and saved notes are also included. Use Clear conversation on the Agent page to remove saved messages from future conversation context. This does not delete your separate investor profile, saved notes, portfolio or journal. Copies already open on other screens may remain until refreshed. Chat can prepare action cards for portfolio reviews, stock checkups, supported portfolio alert rules, and existing follow-up updates. Each action runs only after you confirm its card; results are stored with the conversation. Reviews from chat update in-app alerts without sending email. Chat does not execute trades or activate background monitoring.
Investor profile and coaching memory
Your optional investor profile stores your experience, goals, time horizon, risk comfort, coaching reminder, and any saved stock-context notes with your account. Notes include whose position is being discussed, an optional ticker, and a date. Optional trade theses also store your stated entry, reasoning, time horizon, target, invalidation condition, status, and review notes. They use the same coaching-memory controls. A welcome-back recap quotes your recent saved conversation without fetching new market data. Coaching memory is off by default. When enabled, your profile is sent to OpenAI with requests for new Agent Briefs and AI Doctor’s Notes. Saved notes are user-reported context, not verified market facts. You can edit or remove individual notes and save your changes, or clear them all with your profile. If you separately enable journal learning, ticker counts from journal entries added during the current consent period are included; raw journal notes and trade amounts are not included. Personalized notes are not stored in StockDoc’s shared AI cache. View, edit, switch off, or clear these preferences on My investor profile. Clearing the profile deletes saved notes and resets learning but does not delete original journal or decision-history records. Previously generated notes may remain visible in an already-open screen or any copies you saved or emailed.
